Resetting a password
Use the forgot-password link on the sign-in page. Owners cannot read or set someone else's password, only remove and re-add them.
Your own password
On the sign-in page, use the forgotten-password link. An email arrives with a link that lets you set a new one. The link is single-use and expires, so an old email in the inbox will not work — ask for a fresh one.
Already signed in and just want to change it? There is a change-password option in the sidebar beside your name.
Someone else's
You cannot reset another person's password, even as owner. Nobody here can read or set it. Point them at the forgotten-password link on the sign-in page — it is their email address, so it is their reset.
If they have genuinely lost access to that email account, the way through is to remove the staff member and add them again with the address they can actually reach. Their notes and bookings are unaffected.
If the email never arrives
- Check junk. A first-time email from a domain your mail server has not seen often lands there.
- Check the address is right. A typo when the account was created sends every reset to nobody. An owner can see the address on the Staff screen.
- Wait a couple of minutes before asking again — repeated requests are rate-limited, which is deliberate and can look like nothing happening.
Signing in still fails after a successful reset? Confirm which venue they are trying to reach. An account with no membership at that venue will authenticate and then have nowhere to go.
