If you take bookings through Quandoo

Quandoo is closing. Here’s what that means for your venue.

Quandoo stops taking bookings on 30 September 2026 — about 51 days away — and goes offline entirely on 31 December.

This isn’t a rumour or a rebrand — it’s Quandoo’s own announcement, covering every market they operate in, Australia included. Read their notice.

The dates that matter.

30 September 2026
The last day a diner can make a new booking through Quandoo. After this, your inbound bookings from them stop.
1 October 2026
Quandoo’s consumer services end. Anything you have not moved by now is not taking bookings.
31 December 2026
The website, app and remaining infrastructure are taken offline permanently. Anything still only in Quandoo goes with it.

Get your guest list out first.

Before you choose anything, export your guest data from Quandoo while the platform is still up. Names, contact details, booking history — whatever they let you take. That list is years of your own trade, and on 31 December the export button goes away with everything else.

Do that even if you have not decided where you are going. It is the one step that is irreversible if you miss it.

Where to go next.

We would like it to be us, and we will say plainly when it should not be. Quandoo was a diner marketplace as much as a booking system, so the honest first question is which half you were actually paying for.

If you were paying for discovery

If a real share of your covers came from people browsing Quandoo who had never heard of you, you want another marketplace, not us. TheFork is the obvious like-for-like in Australia, and it charges per cover the way Quandoo did. We have no diner network and are not going to pretend otherwise.

If you were paying for the booking system

If most of your bookings were people who already knew you, a commission was a charge on demand you created. A flat monthly system fits better. That is us at $39 a month — and also Now Book It and Obee, both Australian and both longer established than we are.

What to check before you commit.

  • Can you export your guests again later? You are moving because a platform closed. Do not move somewhere you cannot leave.
  • Does the price rise with a good month? A per-cover fee means a busy Saturday costs you more.
  • Whose website do diners book on — yours or theirs?
  • How long does setup take, and is anyone actually helping you do it?
