Walk-ins and moving tables

Seat a walk-in from the More menu on the book, and move an existing booking to different tables from inside its drawer.

Seating a walk-in

  1. On the book, open More ▾ and choose Seat a walk-in.

  2. Enter the party size and pick the table. A name is optional — the box fills in as Walk-in if you leave it, which is fine for a Tuesday lunch and less fine for a table you may need to find again.

  3. Save. They appear on the timeline immediately, already seated, holding that table for the usual turn time.

Walk-ins count towards your covers exactly like anything else, which is the point: a night that looks half empty in bookings and was full in reality should show as full when you look back at it.

Taking a booking by phone

Use + New reservation rather than the walk-in dialog. Same screen your guests see, minus the payment step — availability is checked the same way, so you cannot accidentally promise a table that is not there.

Moving a booking to another table

  1. Click the booking on the timeline to open its drawer.

  2. Choose the table or tables you want, then press Move to selected tables.

Pick more than one table to seat a party across a combination you are pushing together on the night, even if it is not one of your saved combinations.
